Rep. Gohmert: Mueller Only Wants to Affect the Election, Help Democrats | Fox News Insider

House Judiciary Committee Member Louie Gohmert reacted Wednesday to reportsSpecial Counsel Robert Mueller will issue findings after the midterm elections.

According to Bloomberg, which cited two anonymous sources, “Mueller is close to rendering judgment on two of the most explosive aspects of his inquiry: whether there were clear incidents of collusion between Russia and Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign, and whether the president took any actions that constitute obstruction of justice.”

The findings will be provided to his boss, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, but it’s unclear if they would be made public.

Gohmert (R-Texas) said on “Outnumbered Overtime” that he believes Mueller wants to “affect the election,” while trying to appear that he does not intend to.

“They need this to help the Democrats in the election,” Gohmert said, suggesting that there is little veracity to the collusion allegations made against President Donald Trump.
